During the Project Climbing Everest circles, a group of high school students from all over Oakland County get together and listen to a guest storyteller talk about the challenges and mountains they had to overcome through life. The students ask questions and understand lessons on how to persevere and keep your head high through tough times. After the storyteller shares their story, the students stay back and discuss amongst themselves what the key takeaways would be from that session. These circles are a great way for students to learn and grow as well as create a tight-knit community with each other. We have had many storytellers come in and share extremely unique stories, and we are grateful for each one of them! Click the button below to learn more about them.
Throughout the years, we have also had multiple chapters take place, mostly in Michigan but one in Ohio as well! Click the button below to learn more about them.

The Project Climbing Everest Scholarship is an annual $500 award created to support a Michigan high school senior who is passionate about mental health and plans to pursue it in college. Offered through Bold.org, the scholarship recognizes students who have shown resilience, supported others, and are committed to making a difference in the mental health space. Applicants are evaluated based on a personal essay, academic performance, and their vision for future impact. This scholarship is part of Climbing Everest’s broader mission to empower the next generation of mental health leaders.
